In Sham Tseng roast goose are famous. This brand with multiple locations and Yue Kee are two of the famous ones. Had both and I would say they are indeed good, but BEST? I will defer judgement to the real food critic. Personally I never use the term BEST because taste is subjective, and with my limited experience, though I've eaten plenty of roast goose over time, I'm still no judge for calling it BEST. On this visit a set meal ran a little over $300, it was pretty good.

One of the many restaurants in Sham Tseng serving up roasted goose. We were seated in their satellite location about 100 feet away from the original. Food comes out fast but piping hot and there was honestly nothing bad to say about the food. The goose came out hot and crispy and the meat was super tender. The other roasted pork also came out not too fatty and not too lean. The fried squid and shrimp were also tasty and super crispy. The stir fried veggies were seasoned well and were fresh. Overall a great experience if you come to Sham Tseng.

Service was good. Had a lower quarter duck, bowl of rice, and pot of tea for $275 for myself. There was enough fat and bones to suck on. Juicy and tender meat. Rice was average. Satisfied my needs for something fatty. only downside was the heavy handed MSG use.

Delicious authentic food. My waiter recommended the roast goose. I've never eaten goose before and was hesitant. He suggested fried rice to go with it. I'm glad we ordered the goose and rice and it has been the best meal I've had during my time in Hong Kong. My waiter was excellent and looked after us the entire meal. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a true Hong Kong cultural experience.

We made the trip here via uber, this place is not accessible via MTR and mostly locals go here. Probably one of the last few places where they cook the roast goose in traditional way by charcoal grill. Travelling here is definitely worth it. Food is great, we especially liked the roast goose, the noodles with shrimp, the roasted pork, crispy pork and all other roasted items. Just to note, the servers are NOT friendly at all. They kept on throwing things. Throwing plates, chopsticks as they were handing it to us. One server even threw out a tablecloth to another server from a different table that hit my husband while my husband was eating! Imagine that.

One of the most famous roasted goose restaurant in town. You can find absolutely good choices of seafood and Cantonese food dishes here apart from Goose. Price is really reasonable and food quality is great. You can also have 3 hours valet parking if you eat here.
